Achill & Corraun Island

Clare Island

Achill Island and Corraun are part of the Wild Atlantic Way and on the west coast of County Mayo. Achill is joined to the mainland by bridge whereas Clare Island must be reached by a ferry which departs from Roonagh Quay, outside Louisburgh.

This is the second map by EastWest Mapping to feature County Mayo. The area between Mulranny and Ballycroy overlaps with their Wild Nephin map. As with previous EastWest publications, great attention is devoted to the accurately labelling of local placenames, making it equally valuable to local residents as well as visitors to the area.

This double-sided map is printed on 100gsm Enduro paper and is both weather and tear resistant. The Achill and Corraun Island maps is drawn to a scale of 1:25,000 and has contour lines at 10m intervals. The Clare Island map is at a scale of 1:7,500 and has contour lines drawn at 5m intervals. When unfolded, the sheet measures 137.5cm x 82cm and folds down to a size of 20.5cm x 12.5cm.
